This is a four story, 60,000 square foot lab building at the UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA. THe basement level contains a vivarium and the upper three floors are research laboratories.

ACCO worked directly with the mechanical engineer, Earl Walls and Associates of San Diego in this “design-assist” project. The lab HVAC uses water cooled rooftop VAV package units controlled by “Phoenix Valves” lab VAV controls and hot water heat.

The building’s office areas utilize a rooftop package VAV unit. Nielsen Dillingham Builders contracted with Architect Leo Daly and the mechanical engineer for this design build project for the University of California, Irvine.
