| 580 California Street, San Francisco This is a 26-story office building in the heart of San
Francisco’s financial district. Sunbelt Controls (a
division of ACCO Engineered Systems) retrofitted the core
primary control system for the entire building.
There are five air handling units on the first floor
and one air handling unit on each floor above that for a
total of 29 air handling units. In addition, there is a
central chilled water and hot water plant to provide the
heating and cooling for the building.
Sunbelt installed an Andover control system, working
with Barr Engineering of Santa Fe Springs, CA.
The entire retrofit was done under occupied conditions
and Sunbelt’s crew remained fairly invisible to the tenants
of the building as the work was done.
