Temperature and humidity control are very critical in the archival storage of film for
the movie industry. ACCO teamed with Ove Arup Engineers in the design and Turner
Construction for the environmental control of the Warner Bros. Archives Building.
Using Chilled glycol and dessicant dehumidification, these storage vaults were
maintained at 68° F and 35% relative Humidity.
ACCO has provided HVAC systems for long and short term film storage for many
other facilities in addition to Warner Bros. These include Universal Studios, Disney,
AGFA Film, and Modern Videofilm.
